Associated Imports & Distributors (A.I.D for short) was founded in July 2021. The company trades under the well-known name of Olympus Audio S.A.

Olympus Audio S.A was the import and distribution division of the Olympus Digital Voice Recorders within the Maynards Group for over 25 years. In July of 2021 the division was moved out of the Maynards umbrella to stand on its own as A.I.D.

A.I.D is managed and run by Wayne Melle, an employee of the Maynards Group for over 18 years before starting up A.I.D. The rest of the staff compliment moved over from Maynards as well, with long serving employment records ranging from 10 – 25 years of service. It goes without saying that A.I.D’s staff compliment is very experienced in the Digital Dictation market, something that is invaluable to our clients on daily basis – from Product Knowledge to Product Support, we have generally seen it all before and are here to offer our clients the very best advice in terms of both to ensure the product meets their needs.

A.I.D has taken over the import and distribution rights from Maynards for Olympus Digital Voice Recording products in the RSA. The company still enjoys a close working relationship with Maynards – something which we feel is very important as clients have come to know and trust the Maynards / Olympus partnership over the past 25 years.

Funny enough, Olympus themselves have gone through a similar process at the beginning of the 2021. The retail arm of the company, responsible for the Recorders, Cameras and Binoculars was sold off to an investment firm to stand on its own, its now known as OM Digital Solutions – although the product branding remains Olympus for now.

Although there have been changes to company structures on both ends, our relationship with OM Digital Solutions / Olympus is as strong as ever. Our commitment to the brand and the brands commitment to its client’s is now better than ever before. Both A.I.D and OM Digital Solutions are solely dedicated to Digital Recording and that bodes well for consumers as we are able to offer the best solutions for your particular needs.
